oh yach, you need to change all your standard incandescent light bulbs to CFL (compact fluorescent light). energy star qualified light bulbs. the qualified lights bulbs use 75% less energy than standard incandescent light bulbs and they last 10 times longer

install ceiling fans to keep air circulating in your home also important. AC will cost you 10 times higher than the ceiling fans. so ceiling fans will be the option.

also don't forget to turn off the heat on your dishwasher. with regular water for dishwasher is already enough.

if your oven use electric i think will be best to use your microwave instead of cooking in the oven.
